MONARCH TRAIL | FRISCO, TEXAS
Valley Quest Design was selected by the City of Frisco to design a shared use path connector trail through a major residential utility easement. Frisco Parks Planners wanted to create a vibrant nature preserve for insect pollinators that would increase the local butterfly population while supporting active transportation users with trailhead facilities and a connection to neighborhood destinations. Valley Quest Designers envisioned a concept that draws inspiration directly from insect physiology featuring architectonic landforms in support of all native pollinator-friendly plantings as well as bioswales and rain gardens to mitigate for stormwater drainage needs. Valley Quest Design provided site analysis, concept design, renderings, construction documents and details, as well as construction observation and bid assistance.
